At the opening Freespace, the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale

From 26th May to 25th November 2018 will take place the 16th Venice International Architecture Exhibition

curated by Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara, in which Tosetto has fabricated a series of set-ups that we will soon unveil to the public.

An edition, entitled Freespace, focused on the centrality of human life and the quality of both public and private spaces. These are fundamental concepts in a contemporary approach to Architecture and Design philosophy, as explained by President Paolo Baratta. The exhibition will take place between the Giardini and the Arsenale where 71 participants will exhibit, joined by other designers gathered in two Special Sections. The first named Close encounter, meetings with remarkable projects dedicated to a reflection on projects from the past and the second, The Practice of Teaching, which will include more didactic work. The exhibition will be enriched by 63 national participations, including 6 new countries: Antigua & Barbuda, Saudi Arabia, Guatemala, Lebanon, Pakistan and the Holy See, with a private pavilion located on the Island of San Giorgio.

This year there will be two special projects: an installation in Forte Marghera, built by architects Sami Rintala and Dagur Eggertsson, and a special project at the Pavilion of Applied Arts of the Arsenal to reflect upon the theme of social housing.
